本年度は、研究対象者をリクルートするため、運動習慣と身体活動性について対象に該当する慢性閉塞性肺疾患（COPD）患者に対し調査を行った。本研究対象者は、身体活動性が低いものを対象に、身体活動性を向上させる認知行動療法を中心とした介入を行っていくため、運動習慣がない者を問診にて調査し、身体活動性については、３軸加速度計を使用し日常の身体活動性について調査して、低身体活動である対象者のリクルートを行った。その後、研究対象者に該当したCOPD患者に対し、精神・心理特性での、東大式エゴグラム、健康管理の自己効力感、不安・抑うつ、健康関連QOL、認知機能、一般情報、身体特性の初期評価を実施した。また、認知行動療法による介入を開始した。介入は、月に１回１時間程度で、6か月間実施予定である。内容は身体活動の重要性を説明し、歩数計での日々の歩数を記録する自己管理日誌を配布し、対面形式でのカウンセリングと、筋力トレーニングを中心とした呼吸リハビリテーションを実施し、身体活動向上へ向けた介入を実施した。また、研究に必要となる研究機材の準備を実施し、本研究が開始できるように準備を進めてきた。その他、本研究の目的であるCOPD患者の自己管理能力の欠如に関連する精神・心理特性を明らかにするための予備研究として、研究対象となる外来管理中の安定期COPD患者において、本研究の自己管理の指標とする身体活動性と認知機能との関連を調査した。その結果、歩行での身体活動性と歩行以外での身体活動性とでは、認知機能に異なる関連を示すことが明らかとなり、自己管理における身体活動性の向上には、歩行が重要であることが明らかとなった。このことについて論文にまとめて報告することができ、今後の研究の方向性を定めることができた。
