项目摘要

高年初産婦は育児困難や育児不安を感じ、母親としての自信低下をきたすことが多く、育児適応が遅延する。高年初産婦の親は高齢のために育児支援を期待することは難しく、周囲に頼る相手がいないため、パートナーと共に子どもを育てている。しかし、高年初産婦とパートナーがどのように子育てについて取り組み、適応しているのかを検討した研究はほとんど見当たらない。そこで、高年初産婦とパートナーの育児適応のプロセスを明らかにすることを目的に研究を行った。研究デザインは質的記述的研究で、A県内の６カ月以上異1歳未満の乳児を育てる高年初産夫婦を対象とした。子どもが生まれてから現在までの育児を振り返り、育児に慣れてきたと思う時や場面、その理由を語ってもらった。協力の得られた７組の高年初産の夫婦を分析対象とした。平均年齢は妻39.2歳±2.9歳で、パートナー43.5歳±7.3歳であった。インタビュー実施時点での子どもの月齢は6カ月から10カ月であった。夫婦はおおよそ６カ月で育児に適応していることが明らかとなった。そのプロセスは模索期（１～2カ月）、受け入れ期（3～4か月）、適応期（5～6カ月）の３期を経ていた。模索期で夫婦は溢れる情報から、自分たちにとって必要な情報を選択し、完璧に育児を行うことを目指していた。しかし、実際に思うようにいかない状況に直面し、子どもを理解し、育児は完璧でなくていい、少しくらい放っておいても大丈夫と完璧を手放す受け入れ期に至った。そして自分たち家族として自然と育児を行う適応期を迎えていた。この結果をもとにアンケートを作成し、Web調査の実施を計画することと、並行して産後1年までの長期的支援プログラムを作成及び修正をおこなった。
