がん治療後のリンパ浮腫（以下リンパ浮腫と記載）は、がん治療の晩期障害であり、発現リスクは生涯にわたり続くため、リンパ浮腫の予防には、永続的なセルフケアが不可欠である。しかし、リンパ浮腫の予防は、サバイバーシップケアの重点領域のひとつとされているが、退院後の切れ目のないリンパ浮腫支援の担い手を病院外に拡大するための基盤はいまだない。また、保健師等の地域ケアの専門家が求めるエビデンス・ベーストな支援方略も欠如している。私たちの一連の先行研究において、退院後のセルフケアの阻害要因は、セルフケアの知識不足に加え、セルフケアへの心理的負担・リンパ浮腫の発現不安に対する自己効力感の低下等であることを示し、退院後のセルフケアの阻害要因は、セルフケアの知識不足に加え、セルフケアへの心理的負担・リンパ浮腫の発現不安に対する自己効力感の低下等であることを示し、乳がん・婦人科がん手術経験者を対象に、講義・グループワーク・体験学習を含む60分間のセッションを、1か月ごとに3回繰り返し、6か月後にフォローアップを1回設ける「心理的介入を含む包括的リンパ浮腫予防支援プログラム」を開発した。本研究では、先述の研究成果を発展させ、本リンパ浮腫予防支援プログラムの効果を，単群前後比較試験において検証することを目的とする。2022年度は、研究立案、研究代表者が所属する施設の研究倫理審査委員会の承認および研究許可、研究プロトコルの登録（UMIN-CTR：UMIN000050309)を実施した。また、研究協力施設のリクルートおよび研究対象者のリクルートを開始した。
