体育科教育学において、これまで「指導と評価の一体化」に向けた体育授業実践の報告はされている。しかし、学習評価に関しては、学習指導との関係から何をどの順番で教え、何をいつどのように評価するのかについては、学術的な研究成果は十分に得られていないまま学習評価の利活用が求められている。学習評価を活用した体育授業においては、第1に、学習評価の構造や機能に関する理論研究を実施すること、第2に、理論を踏まえた実践研究による授業プログラムの開発及びその効果検証をすること、が不可欠である。そこで本研究では、学習評価を導入した体育授業プログラムを開発しその効果を検証することを目的とし、本研究の遂行に向け、4つの研究課題を設定し、その期間を4ヶ年とした。研究課題1では、学習評価の構造に関する基礎的研究として、国内外における先行研究の整理精選及び文献調査研究を行った。文献調査では、主として、戦後から現在までの小学校体育科における指導要録に関して検討した。研究課題1の研究成果については、現在、体育科教育学会への再投稿を進めている。研究課題2では、実践研究1として、体育授業プログラムの開発を行った。その際、滋賀県草津市内公立小学校を高学年（第5学年）対象に、個人的運動領域の陸上運動系領域（走り幅跳びの単元）において、学習評価を導入した体育授業プログラムの開発を行った。研究課題2の研究成果については、現在、東京体育学会へ投稿し、査読中である。研究課題3では、小学校高学年の個人的運動領域の陸上系領域（走り幅跳びの単元）において、学習評価を導入した体育授業プログラムの効果検証を行った。対象は、滋賀県草津市内公立小学校を高学年（第6学年）であった。研究課題3の研究成果については、京都滋賀体育学会への投稿に向け、現在、研究データの分析を進めている。
