令和４年度（2022）は研究協力施設のリクルートを試みたが、新新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大の影響等により協力施設の確保は極めて困難であった。そのため、臨床における分娩記録からのデータ収集および統計分析の一部を担当し、結果について助言を行う目的で本研究分担者を追加した。共同研究者間で研究計画書を再考し、研究協力依頼を予定している周産期医療施設の分娩件数（経腟分娩および帝王切開術件数）から過去10年間に渡る後方視的調査を行うことが適当であるとの見解を得た。また、対象は早産や緊急帝王切開となった症例を除き、妊娠37週0日から妊娠41週6日までの正期産とすることで正常分娩を取り扱う際の指針となる子宮頚管開大曲線の作成につながることが検討された。これらを踏まえて、研究計画書の修正を行う目的で周産期医療や助産に関する主たる学術集会に参加し、最新の知見を得た。先行研究から分娩所要時間及び遷延分娩の影響要因として産婦の身長、避妊妊娠時体重、妊娠期間中の体重増加量などは様々な知見が認められた。そのため、主要な調査データである内診時間及び内診所見（開大度Cervical dilation（cm）、子宮口の位置Cervical position（±5）、展退度Cervical effacement（%）、子宮頸部の硬さCervical consistency、児頭の位置（先進部の高さ）Fetal Station）に加えて、基礎情報から得られる因子を含めて本研究における分娩所要時間の影響要因について検討する重要性が示唆された。
