项目摘要

本研究の目的は乳児の泣きに直面した父親の対児感情と認知について質的に分析し、泣きにおける父親の認知過程を明らかにすることである。現代の父親は、育児においてこれまでの母親をサポートする立場から直接的に育児を担う役割が求められ、積極的な子育てへの参加が推奨されている。父親の果たす役割は家庭の経済面を第一義的に担うことから、仕事を調整し妻の負担軽減を考慮して育児を実践することへ移行し、「養育する父親」へと役割が変化している。しかし現代の父親は母親と同様、少子化で幼い子どもとの交流が希薄な環境で育っており、初めて子どもを持つ父親はパートナーの身心の変化を介して自己の父親役割を適応させていくことが求められるが、その個人差は大きい。母親は日常的な相互作用の中で乳児が泣く意味を理解し判断する経験を重ね、乳児の求める育児行動へと呼応している。しかし父親は、乳児の泣きの特徴に関した知識が乏しい点やその泣きの理解を判断する経験が少ないことより、乳児の泣きの意味を理解できず、苛立ちとなり衝動的な行動につながりかねない。現在、児童虐待において実父が「泣きやまないことに苛立って」加害した事例が多くそのため乳児の泣きに対して対応できる支援に向けた父親の認知過程を明らかにすることが急務と考える。そこで父親が乳児の泣きに対し何を感じ、考え、対応しているのかその認知過程を解明することが、泣きに起因する虐待の解決策を見出すことにつながると考える。当該年度は父親が乳児の泣きの捉え方における概念分析を現在進めているところである。「父親」「乳児」「泣き」をキーワードにし文献検索を行い、概念分析の手法を用いて分析を行っている。
