项目摘要

18世紀ヨーロッパでは、イタリアへのグランド・ツアーの流行に伴って、17世紀の理想風景画家クロード・ロランやニコラ・プッサンの熱狂的なリヴァイヴァル・ブームが起こった。本研究は、当時旅行者の共有されていた旅行先での「風景画家体験」、すなわち旅行者＝アマチュアによる風景画制作という行為に注目し、旅行者によって選択された能動的娯楽という観点から18世紀ヨーロッパのツーリズムに位置づけ、その実態および社会的背景を明らかにすることを目的とする。そして、風景画の「鑑賞」から「制作」に至る旅行者の精神的プロセスの解明を通じて、近代ツーリズムにおける旅行者の能動的体験の成立と発展の過程に新知見をもたらすことを目指す。今年度は、近世ヨーロッパにおける風景画制作の実態や一般レベルへの普及の過程について、当時の旅行記や書簡、理論書の分析を通じて考察した。また、こうした制作行為そのものがモチーフとして絵画作品に挿入される際、それが作品全体にどのような役割を果たしたのかを具体的作例の分析を通じて検証した。研究成果の一部は、ローマ滞在における風景画制作に焦点化した拙論「風景画家の自己表象―「制作途中の風景画家」のモチーフに関する試論（1）」（『岩手大学教育学部研究年報』第82号、1-20頁、 2023年）において示した。さらに、これらの考察を踏まえ、『啓蒙思想の百科事典』（丸善出版、2023年）の担当項目においてもグランド・ツアーと風景画の関係について示した。またそれと並行し、グランド・ツアーにおける旅行者の娯楽の相対化の作業として、主要な娯楽の一つであった舞台鑑賞にも着目し、その実態を観客の「スペクタクル」という観点から明らかにした。研究成果の一部は、「 18世紀ヴェネツィアの舞台美術─ビビエーナ一族の革新とその影響」（『叡智のアルストピア』ありな書房、2023年）に示した。
