项目摘要

本研究は、観光計画論、観光資源保全論の立場から、自然公園等の自然歩道に活かし得る歴史的参詣道の特性は何かということを捉えることをねらいとして、霊山・霊場などの信仰空間へ到達する、あるいはそれら相互を繋ぐ歴史的参詣道を対象に、その立地環境と周辺の自然環境との視覚的繋がり（可視性）を指標とした景観特性を明らかにし、その資源性を自然歩道のネットワーク計画に活用する検討を行うことを目的とする。令和4年度は、前年度に引き続き、調査事例対象地の拡充を目的として、旧来の参詣道ルートの同定・推定およびルート上の視点の選択方法の検討、さらにその視点群からの可視特性の把握を実施した。具体的には、四国遍路道のうち徳島県内の山岳地の二十番鶴林寺から那賀川を挟んで二十一番太龍寺に至る参詣道を対象に実施した。参詣道の原ルートを現地形図上で推定し、地形やルート線形の変化点を視点候補として抽出し、その上で国土地理院・基盤地図情報の数値地図を活用し、対象地を含む広域の範囲において、信仰対象となる山岳山頂周辺の各視点からの可視領域、およびそれ以外の重要な自然環境要素（海域および山稜など）の可視領域等を重層させて可視頻度を検討した。その際に、可視対象としての「山稜線」を数値地図上で抽出する手法の検討も実施した。これに加えて、参詣路の標高変化から参詣者の身体の疲労度に関係する指標値を設定し、その変化と可視性の関係についても検討した。また二十番鶴林寺および二十一番太龍寺付近において実際の景観の状況の確認も実施した。その結果、参詣道上から登山経路に伴って海域および山稜への可視性などに特徴がみられることが確認され、次年度の最終調査に向けた試行を実施した。
