本研究の目的は、新聞や国会会議録をデータベース化したコーパスを用いて、セクシュアルマイノリティ（性的マイノリティ）の描かれ方の特徴やその変化を定量的・定性的に分析することである。特に、英語圏における同性結婚の法制化や、日本における同性パートナーシップ制度の導入の前後でそれらがどのように変化したのかを、批判的談話分析（Critical Discourse Analysis; CDA)の質的調査方法と、コーパス言語学の統計的な手法を併用しながら分析する。前年度（2021年度）は、前年度に作成した英国の上院（貴族院）の会議録を電子データ化したコーパスを用いて定量的な分析を行なったが、データ自体が小さかったためか、反対派に顕著な言語的な特徴を見つけるには至らなかった。今年度（2022年度）は日本の国会議事録をもとにデータを作成したが、同性婚に賛成派の質問の量に対し、それに答える側（反対派）の答弁の量が少なく、かつその内容が回避的・抽象的であるため、両者の定量的な比較をすることが難しいとの結論にいたった。定性的な分析においては、同性婚に反対の意見には、家父長制を中心とする「イエ」制度を維持したいとの考えが背後にあり、それが固定的なジェンダー役割の考え方につながっていること、また、そうした考えは同性婚だけではなく、選択的夫婦別姓に関する議論等にも広く見られることがわかった。また、同性婚に反対派の意見には「子どもの福祉」という表現が多く用いられており、これは現在子育てをしている同性カップルの存在を無視しているという問題に加え、固定的なジェンダー役割に則った子育てのあり方の押し付けに繋がりかねない問題を孕んでいると考えている。

The purpose of this study is to analyze the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the changes in the news and parliamentary records. In particular, the legalization of same-sex marriage in English, the introduction of same-sex marriage in Japan, the qualitative investigation methods of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), and the statistical methods of linguistics are used together. In the previous year (2021), the proceedings of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom (the House of Lords) were prepared in the previous year. The electronic analysis was carried out in quantitative analysis. The characteristics of speech were observed in the opposite direction. This year (FY2022), Japan's National Assembly proceedings are held in the form of a number of questions, questions and answers from the pro-gay side, and answers from the anti-gay side. The number of answers is less, the content is less, and the abstract is more, and the quantitative comparison is more difficult. The qualitative analysis of same-sex marriage is based on the analysis of the relationship between same-sex marriage and same-sex marriage, and the discussion of the relationship between same-sex marriage and same-sex marriage. In addition, the same sex marriage is opposed to the opinions of the parties, such as "children's well-being" and "performance."
