项目摘要

2022年度は、まず前年度の研究成果を日本宗教学会第81回学術大会において「本願寺派における「主流派」の誕生－空華学派とその私塾経営－」と題して発表した。同発表に基づく論文は、『宗教研究』（第96巻別冊、2023年）に掲載された。また、筑紫女学園大学・人間文化研究所主催の研究会において「九州真宗の私塾と教育」と題して、特に北部九州における真宗私塾の概要を整理分析して発表した。さらに研究実施計画に従い、引き続き真宗私塾に関する史料蒐集に努めつつ、①近世・近代の本願寺派において最大勢力を誇った空華学派の私塾群の分析を行った。また新たに②博多萬行寺に設置されていた龍華教校（旧甘露窟）の史料調査および分析も行った。①に関して、奈良県下市の瀧上寺において史料調査を実施した。瀧上寺は空華学派の祖師僧鎔が育てた柔遠と道穏という二人の高弟の流れを汲む学僧が「藤華閣」「華蔵閣」と称される私塾を経営していたことが伝えられるが、その実態は未詳であった。今回、未整理であった同寺の書庫を整理しつつ、特に私塾関連の史料を蒐集した。そこで「空華蘆塾則」が発見されたことにより、同寺の塾が空華学派の所属であったことが同定された。また、同学則が新たに確認されたことで、以前詳らかにした空華学派の新学派設立を拒否する「空華蘆塾則」の方針が実際に地方において機能していた実態も浮き彫りとなった。②に関して、筑紫女学園大学・人間文化研究所の真宗文化史研究会が行う博多萬行寺の史料調査に同行した。萬行寺には龍華学派の曇龍と、説教の名手として全国的に名を馳せた七里恒順が経営した「甘露窟」や「龍華教校」と称された教育機関が存在したが、その実態は明らかでなかった。新出史料である「曇龍伝」や塾則、入校生名簿等を手がかりに、甘露窟の設立経緯や龍華教校へと改編される経緯などについて分析を行った。
