项目摘要

本研究は、1770年代中葉に北ドイツで確立された劇音楽の一種であるメロドラム（メロドラマ）が、いわゆる古典派時代のウィーンにおいてどのように受容されたのかを、当時の演目に関連する一次資料の調査、および実際に上演された作品の分析を通じて実証的に明らかにしようとするものである。特に、ウィーンの政治史的、音楽史的転換期にあたる1780年頃という、これまでの研究ではほとんど注目されてこなかった時期のメロドラム創作および受容の諸相を解明することを目標の一つに据えている。今年度も、前年度に引き続き、アントン・ツィマーマン（1741～1781）の《アンドロメダとペルセウス》（1780）を足掛かりとして、ウィーン特有のメロドラム創作、上演、受容のあり方について調査、研究を進めた。本作は、1780年頃にウィーンの文化圏で成立した中で一定の成功を収めた唯一のメロドラムである点に加えて、ウィーンでの上演に先立って、ハプスブルク家の離宮であるホーフ城（Schloss Hof）において、女帝マリア・テレジアとその四女マリア・クリスティーナも列席した私的な祝宴で初演されていたという意味でも注目に値する。これまで行ってきた調査、研究によって、本作がウィーンにおける初期メロドラム受容史の一端を解明する鍵になるだけではなく、従来のジャンル史理解の修正をもうながす事例であることが明らかとなった。これら一連の研究成果をまとめた論文は、現在ドイツ語によって執筆中で、次年度中には国際音楽学会の機関紙Acta musicologicaに投稿する予定である。また、新型コロナウィルス感染症に伴う行動制限が緩和したため、今年度は二度にわたってウィーンに渡り、本研究にかかわる一次資料の調査と収集、および関連施設の視察を行った（2022年10月25日～11月4日、2023年3月19日～30日）。
