本研究は戦前から続くエルベ川以東に位置する東部ドイツ（Ostdeutschland）、とりわけメクレンブルクおよびミッテルマルク周辺の表象に着目し、同地域における歴史的・社会的・文化的な背景を踏まえたうえで、東ドイツも含めた東部ドイツという文学的トポスの形成と変遷の過程を分析することを課題とする。採択3年目である2022年度は、前年度に行った口頭発表で受けたフィードバックをもとに、『カッサンドラ』における痛みの表象についての論文を執筆した。「ジェンダー」「記憶」「語り」の観点から考察した本論文は、年度末に刊行された所属学部の紀要に採択されている。『カッサンドラ』の著者クリスタ・ヴォルフは、東ドイツの詩人ヴォルフ・ビーアマンの市民権剥奪に対して抗議をした結果、様々な困難に直面することになった。その苦悩は、主題を古代ギリシアに移した『カッサンドラ』から深く見て取れる。シュタージに目をつけられ、現代に則ったテーマを扱いにくくなったことに対して、ヴォルフの夫であるゲルハルト・ヴォルフとギュンター・デブロインは、忘れ去られたブランデンブルク辺境伯領ゆかりの詩人たちに目を向けた。二人が共同で展開したプロジェクトが『マルクの詩の園』シリーズである。上記の論文の執筆と並行して、ゲルハルト・ヴォルフとデブロインが編纂した『マルクの詩の園』についての調査を進めた。その結果、全21巻の入手は国内では非常に困難であり、ドイツ・ベルリン州立図書館でさらなる調査を必要とすることが判明した。
