项目摘要

この研究は，危機言語のひとつであるバスク語のデータに基づき，定形性と節の独立性の関係を明らかにすることを目指している。現在扱っている非定形節は，独立節，および，行為副詞を主要部とする句である。独立節のデータは，バスク語方言の聞き取り調査およびその方言で書かれた小説等の文献調査によって前年度までに収集を終えた。(1)独立節を構成する名詞句または非動詞述語のどちらかが項を取ること，(2)その項が主節の項と同一指示となること，の2つの観点からデータを分析し，記述した。独立節が主節により組み込まれる構文として，所有動詞を主述語，独立節を二次述語とする「所有コピュラ文」に着目し，独立節と比較しつつ記述した。この成果は論文「変則的二項述語文としての所有文」で発表した。行為副詞を主要部とする句の主要データは，バスク地方で複数人に同一のビデオを見せ，記述してもらうという方法で収集した。また，そのデータ観察を元に，行為副詞が節の主要部に近い（＝より独立性が低い）場合があるという仮説を立て，1名のバスク語話者の協力によってそれを検証した。分析の過程で，軽動詞ari「する」が取る副詞的要素が，その補部か修飾部かを見分ける方法として，コントロール構文を用いることを提案した。また，この方法を用いて行為副詞がariの補部であることを示し，行為副詞は節の主要部に近い場合があるということを明らかにした。この成果は日本言語学会で「バスク語の動詞ari「する」と共起する副詞は補語か修飾語か」のタイトルで発表した。また，これらのデータを分析する過程で生じた問題から，日本言語学会でワークショップ「グロス再考」を共同で開催した。例文を分析する際，多義語のどの意義がその文に関与しているかが決定しがたい例を複数指摘し，それがグロス（逐語訳）の付与において問題となりうることを示した。
