项目摘要

本研究は、伝統的に動詞の持つとされる項構造を廃止することを目指している。具体的には動詞は項を選択せず、動作主や非動作主といったそれぞれの意味役割に関する機能範疇を設けそれらが項を導入すると考えている。この可能性は形式意味論の文献では比較的前から議論されており、新デイヴィッドソン主義事象意味論と呼ばれる枠組みで広く議論されている。しかし統語構造にそれを完全に反映させた分析が広く議論され始めたの 2000 年代に入ってからである。統語論の文献で重要なものとしては Lohndal (2014) などが挙げられる。応募者の研究では格助詞が項導入の機能を担っていると考えており、その基本的なアイデアを Shimamura (2020) で提出した。その後三重大学の田中秀治氏との共同研究という形になりさらに議論を進めたものを昨年学会で発表し、その論文が刊行予定ある (Shimamura and Tanaka to appear)。現在は田中氏と国際論文雑誌に投稿すべく論文を準備中である。
