2022年度は、英語史上における情報導入構文の発達について主に次の2点について調査を行った。(1) 中英語期から初期近代英語期におけるas for NP構文を機能的に類似しているas to NP構文と比較しながら、それぞれの構文の発達と両者の差異について調査した。具体的には、通時コーパスPenn-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Middle English (PPCME2)とPenn-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Early Modern English (PPCEME)から得られたデータを基に、as for NP構文とas to NP 構文の中英語から初期近代英語における通時的発達を文中での生起位置という点から比較した。また、両構文の差異に関わる要因を統計的な手法（条件付き推論ツリーモデル、ランダムフォレストモデル）を用いて検証した。PPCME2とPPCEMEのデータを対象とした調査の範囲では、as for NP構文は中英語後期の末期から初期近代英語の初頭の間に文頭位置へ生起するように変化し、as to NP構文にはそのような変化は見られなかったことが明らかになった。この調査内容は研究論文として報告が予定されている。(2) 現代英語における情報導入構文としてthere接触節についてthere’sを取り上げて発達過程について研究発表を行った。現代英語におけるthere接触節は新情報を導入する働きがあることで知られている。その中でも特徴的な振る舞いを示すthere’s接触節の史的発達過程について再考察を行った。There’s接触節は共時的には主格の関係代名詞の省略として説明されることが多い。一方で、通時的には、並列構文から発達したことや談話標識としての再分析の結果としてthere’sの文法化が指摘されてきた。There’sの文法化過程として、there接触節から関係節構造を経由して談話標識として再分析されたことを論じた。

In 2022, we conducted a survey on the development of information import structure in English history. (1)A survey of the similarities and differences between NP construction and NP construction in the early Modern English period. The specific words are Penn-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Middle English (PPCME2) and Penn-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Early Modern English (PPCEME). A statistical method (conditional inference) is used to verify the relationship between the structure and the difference. PPCME2 and PPCEME's research scope is as follows: the end of the NP structure, the beginning of the NP structure, the beginning of the NP structure, and the beginning of the NP structure. The content of this investigation is determined by the research paper and report. (2)Modern English: Information import structure: there contact section: there's a research development process: Modern English has a lot of new information.
