令和4年度は、前年度に着目した結果目的語と被動目的語の区別とthere構文との関連性についてさらに研究を進めた。前年度の研究では、結果目的語と被動目的語では統語的な基底生成の位置が異なるという仮説を立て、there構文に出現可能な動詞のタイプについて説明を試みたが、令和4年度はこの仮説が同族目的語の出現可否や自他交替などにも関係している可能性を指摘した。本研究の中心的テーマの一つである非対格性制約について特に明らかにしたいと考えているのは、dieやvanishなど対応する他動詞用法を持たない非対格動詞がなぜthere構文に出現不可能なのかということであるが、dieという動詞に関しては、apppearのような動詞と異なり、同族目的語構文に出現可能であるという特徴が見られることに着目した。この点を踏まえ、同じ非対格動詞であってもその唯一の項が結果目的語であるのか被動目的語であるのかという違いが、there構文への出現の可否と関係しているのではないかという仮説を新たに立てた。また、bakeなどの料理動詞は自他交替が見られる動詞であるが、結果目的語を伴うと自動詞用法が容認不可になるという点で、appearなどの動詞とは正反対の性質（前者は他動詞用法のみ、後者は自動詞用法のみ可能）を示すが、この事実も結果目的語と被動目的語では統語的な基底生成位置が異なるという本研究の仮説を支持する証拠であると考えられる。これらの成果については『神戸女子大学文学部紀要』第56巻に論文としてまとめた。ただし、同族目的語構文とthere構文の関連に気づいたのが、論文執筆の直前であったため、同族目的語構文の先行研究調査は不十分であった。この点を、１年延長した研究期間で調査していきたい。
