项目摘要

本研究は、世界市民的教育についての研究に関して、従来ほとんど顧みられることのなかった、地理的空間という根本的領野を考慮に入れることで、世界市民的教育の重要な特徴を明らかにするものである。2022年度においては、いままで研究を進めてきたことを、論文として明らかにすることに努めた。とりわけ、（1）空間を考慮に入れることで、多様性と世界性を根本的に担保できるということ、また、（2）人間の現実の生活における空間は、空間的信頼が重要な基盤になっていることを明らかにした。第一に関しては、カントにおける地理的な空間が、多様で複数主義的な視座を根本的にもたらしてくれるということ、しかしながらそのような視座も特定の一つの視座であることに変わりはないことから、そのような複数主義的な視座すらも乗り越えうる空間が必要であることを、和辻の空間論を援用しながら明らかにした。その結果、和辻における空という空間的な契機が、特定の視座を乗り越える否定性を有しており、そのような和辻の空をカントの空間論の補強とすることで、根本的な世界市民性の形成を後押しすることになることを解明した。第二に関しては、人間が社会に生きる上で基盤となる人間関係の要としての信頼が、単に人間の内的・外的な性質や行動に基づいているのではなく、人間が自分の周囲のあらゆる事物と事象に関わろうとするところにおいて立ち現れてくる空間的信頼の特徴を有していることを、カント、ボルノウ、ランゲフェルトにおける垂直関係としての人間関係にみられる信頼、そしてアリストテレスをはじめとする友情論にみられる水平的関係としての人間関係に見られる信頼、さらにそれらを支える、事柄への信頼を含んでいることを解明した。その結果、世界に生きる世界市民の形成には、空間を一方で否定しながら、他方で空間において事柄を信頼する超越的行為が不可欠であることが明らかにされた。
