(1)カントにおける地理教育の基底性カントが地理教育を重視した理論的背景を、当時の啓蒙・Bildung概念の発生・変成過程を追うとともに、『実践理性批判』の嘘の問題を理念性と現実性と読み解くことにより、明らかにした。カントの教育思想は、Bildung概念が依拠する歴史性ではなく、啓蒙概念がその射程に入れる地理性・空間性にその基底性を有しているとともに、現実の事物を常に理論的に捉え、それを体現するものとしての地理的事物の学びが、現実的行為と理念との乖離から生ずる嘘という、道徳的行為に反する行為の克服に通ずることを明らかにした。さらにこれらの意味するところが、キリスト教的倫理・教育思想から距離を取ることにも一役かっていることを考察した。この成果は、2012年7月に行ったドイツ・カールスルー工工科大学における招待講演「教育の基底としての地理学一カント教育哲学におけるアクチュアリティ(Geographie als Basis der Erziehung : Aktualitat zur Kants Erziehungsphilosophie)」(ドイツ語)として発表した。(2)道徳的問答法の意義とその位置づけ道徳的問答法は、カント教育思想において具体的方法論として広く知られるものである。しかしこの道徳的方法論は、カントにおける自律的人間の形成という、個別的人間の形成においてのみ論じられることがほとんどであった。本研究では、そのような従来のカント解釈に対して、道徳的問答法をカントの発達段階的教育論として包括的に考察するとともに、『教育学』のみならず、『実践理性批判』の方法論や『人倫の形而上学』における道徳的問答法の記述とも有機的に結びつけることを通して、道徳的問答法が、社会的な人間形成を基礎とするとともに、さらに悪の克服という観点から社会の変革をめざしているものである、というその社会性の観点を考慮に入れてはじめてなされることを解明した。この成果は京都大学大学院教育学研究科紀要第59号(2013年4月発行)に掲載された論文「子どもに道徳を教えるということ―カントにおける道徳的問答法の意義を問う―」にまとめた。この論考は、カントにおける地理教育的人間形成論が行き着く、具体的な教育方法についてのものである。
