本年度は、描画と実行機能の発達の因果性を明らかにするため、実行機能系の指標である感情面の発達に焦点を当てた。４歳児１名に対するシングルケースデザインによる介入実験として、自己と他者が関わるテーマで描画活動を実施し、自己の行動および感情面の理解（自己理解）および他者の行動および感情面の理解（他者理解）に及ぼす影響について調べた。約4ヶ月にわたる縦断的検討をした結果、描画活動期の後半において、自己の行動および感情についての言及数が増加し、一定の効果量が認められた。このことは、描画が実行機能系の発達を促す可能性を支持する結果であると見なせる。一方で、他者の行動および感情についての言及数は少なく、ほとんど変化がなかった。このことは実行機能の質問紙における感情制御の評定点の低さにも反映されていたと解釈された。今後は、描画の発達が自己の感情面に関する理解を促し、その後、他者の感情面の理解が生じる可能性について検討する必要がある。加えて、人物画における身体動作などの表現の発達が標準型から非標準型へ変化するにしたがって、感情面の発達が相関するか否かについての検討も課題として挙げられる。
