これまでの先行研究では、学業領域における援助要請スタイル、心理・社会領域における援助要請スタイルというように、1つの研究のなかでは、一領域のみに限定して検討され、同時に複数の領域における援助要請スタイルを検討されることはなかった。しかし、林・中谷(2020)により、学業領域では自律的援助要請というよく考えてから援助を要請するスタイルが、学業達成上適応的なスタイルであるとされるという先行研究通りの結果である一方で、対人関係領域においては、すぐに解決を求めるような依存的援助要請にも、社会適応に積極的な意味があることが示された。このように、学業領域及び対人関係領域の両領域における援助要請スタイルについて、領域の違いに着目して、援助要請スタイルを検討することで、各領域におけるより適応的な援助要請を検討することができると考える。本研究においても、領域別に援助要請スタイルを検討することとし、さらに、子どもの援助要請スタイル促進を規定する環境要因として、身近な大人である親の役割に着目する。高校生と比較し、小中学生は親に援助要請する傾向にあるという報告があるからである。よって、適応的な援助要請スタイルを促進する親の役割に着目し、親の援助要請に関する態度（被援助志向性）、親の援助を受けることや援助を提供することに関する態度（互恵性規範）や親自身の援助要請スタイルが、小中学生の援助要請スタイルにどういう影響を及ぼすかを検討する。親の２つの態度が、親自身の援助要請スタイルに及ぼす影響、小中学生の援助要請スタイルに及ぼす影響を分析する。これにより、親のどの要因にアプローチをすると、子どもの援助要請スタイルを高められるかを検討することができると考える。現在、データ収集を終え、分析を進めている段階である。
