当該年度の研究目標は、1)ナルコレプシーの実態に関するWeb調査を行う(研究2の実施)、2)Web調査の直後に、ナルコレプシーの推定有病率の確度を上げるための睡眠生理検査をWeb調査からリクルートした参加者に施行する(研究3の実施), であった。本年度は、2021年度に続き新型コロナウイルス感染症流行に伴う緊急事態宣言やまん延防止期間の長期化により、Web調査直後の睡眠生理検査実施が困難だったため、予定通りWeb調査を進めることができなかった。今年度は、日本語版Swiss narcolepsy scale, Ullanlinna narcolepsy scaleの妥当性・再現性の検証研究を行ない、その結果を論文投稿した。現在、査読中である。2023年４月に、同年年5月には新型コロナウイルス感染症が５類に分類されることが周知されたため、臨床研究ができると判断した。そこで、2023年4月21日から2023年5月1日にかけて、ナルコレプシー疫学調査に関する第一次Web調査を行った。対象は16-39歳までの男女で、各都道府県毎に最新の国勢調査で得られた年齢別人口構成比にそってデータを回収した。5万件のデータを回収し、除外基準に合致しなかった28,084人を解析対象とした。このうちナルコレプシー１型疑いは991名、コントロールは270,93人であった。第2次Web調査希望の参加者に対して、2023年5月17日から第二次調査を行う。そして、本年度中にナルコレプシーの推定有病率の確度を上げるための睡眠生理検査をWeb調査からリクルートした参加者に施行する(研究3の実施)までを終える予定である。
