2022年度も新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大に伴い、研究活動の実施上多くの制限があった。しかし、ニウエへの入国制限が2022年秋以降に緩和されたため、2023年2月にニウエにてフィールド調査を実施することができた。世界的パンデミックの影響は想像以上に大きく、ニウエ関連の情報へのアクセスが困難を極めたため、2023年2月は「太平洋小島嶼開発途上国におけるコロナ禍以降の人権状況（基本的人権及びジェンダー）」に関する実態調査ということに焦点を定め、広くコロナ禍前後における社会や人々の変化と、人権状況の把握ということを目指し、人権活動家、法曹、政府関係者、女性支援団体関係者、研究者、国際機関関係者等をターゲットにして、インタビュー調査を実施した。現在は入手出来たデータを基に、論文作成に着手している。その一方で、2022年秋以前は研究計画の実施に関しての目途が立たずにいた。そのため、一昨年度・昨年度より継続して「性暴力被害女性保護や、多様性に関する社会的課題、さらに関連する職業・ジェンダーに関する課題」について日本国内での状況を調査することを通じ、当該問題点への理解を深めることにも注力した。また、この課題に関連した日本国内で実施可能な研究活動を実施した。2022年度は、社会的弱者の権利と社会活動およびエンパワーメントのための政策について理解を深めるため、日本国内の障碍者の政策に着目し、障碍者の権利と共生社会の実現、さらにはそれを生かした地域振興を実施している自治体の取り組みおよび障碍者・健常者によって構成されるプロジェクトをテーマとして、実態調査を行い、論文を執筆した。この成果物は、2022年6月にJournal of Silence Studies in Educationより出版された。
