2021年度にガーナクマシ近郊のOffinso市で実施した乳幼児向け栄養補助食品（KOKO Plus）に対する支払い意思額に関する実験の結果の分析を進めた。6ヶ月から20ヶ月の離乳期の子どもを持つ母親約400名をランダムに4群に分け、同食品の無償サンプルの提供をそれぞれ（1）1ヶ月間、（2）2ヶ月間、（3）3ヶ月間、（4）なし（対照群）行った。その後、母親に対してBecker-DeGroot-Marschak法による実験オークションを実施し、また無償配布後の実際の購入量を観察した。実験オークションの結果から同食品への支払い意思額を求めると1ヶ月の無償配布群のみが対照群と比較して有意に支払意思額が高かった。また購入量も1ヶ月の無償配布群のみが対照群と比較して多かった。具体的には、市販価格が10袋で5セディの製品に対して、対照群と1ヶ月の無償配布群の支払い意思額の差は0.76セディであった。また、1ヶ月の無償配布群の購入量の平均値は1ヶ月あたり4.28袋であり、対照群よりも2.96袋多かった。以上のことは、製品の効果を体験することが購買につながること、しかし無償配布期間が長くなると「ただでもらえる」という期待が形成されむしろ購買意欲が低下することをしめしてる。本研究の課題である「市場と通じた栄養改善」に対して、重要な示唆を与える結果が得られた。2020年度にクマシ近郊のBosomtwe地区で実施した貧血情報提供実験実については、成果を2022年6月の米国栄養学会で発表し、その際のコメントなどを参考に、投稿論文の執筆を進めた。
