本年度の国内における活動期間は、令和3年4月から8月までの5ヶ月間であった。昨年度から引き続き、東アジア版「男性の役割についての調査」の分析に取り組み、研究会での報告を通して参加者との意見交換を行った。また令和3年11月に国内学会及び国際学会において報告を実施する予定である。具体的な活動内容は以下の通りである。第1に、東京、東北、北陸、九州、沖縄在住の20代から60代の男性を対象として、年齢や社会経済的地位と感情表現を構成概念とした男性性との関連について検証した。分析の結果、他の年代に比べて20代は、感情表現を行うことへの抵抗が少ないことが示された。また既婚である、日常的に連絡を取り合う人数が多い、精神科への通院経験があるほど感情表現に肯定的であった。同結果については、日本社会学会大会にて報告を行う。第2に、東京、ソウル、香港、台北在住の男性を対象として、感情表現を構成概念とした男性性について検討した結果、男性が感情表現をすることに最も肯定的であったのは台北、次いで香港、ソウル、東京の順であった。さらに、ソウル、香港、台北の12歳以下の子どもを持つ男性は、感情表現を許容しているほど、育児頻度が高いことが明らかになった。本結果については、全米家族関係学会大会にて発表を行う。国外における活動期間は、令和3年9月からである。スイス連邦のジュネーブ大学において、OECDの報告書を中心に国外の研究動向の整理を行い、投稿論文としてまとめている段階である。

This year's domestic activities are held in April, August and May of the third year. Second, men living in Tokyo, Sokul, Hong Kong, and Taipei are the objects, and emotional expression constitutes the concept of masculinity. The most certain results are that men can express their emotions smoothly in Taipei, Hong Kong, Sokul, and Tokyo. In Hong Kong and Taipei, children under the age of 12 are allowed to express their feelings and have children with high frequency. The results of this study were presented at the General Assembly of the All-Rice Family Relations Society.
