本研究では，ブラジルの地域経済発展と社会課題について近接・関連分野の海外研究者と共同研究を行うことで，特定地域が抱える社会課題をグローバルイシューと関連付けて整理し，解決策の模索に必要な議論を明らかにする。2022年度は，（1）マクロレベルでの政治経済動向について，10月に実施された大統領選挙前後の状況を地域経済発展と結び付けて議論すべく，文献調査ならびにデータの整備を進めた。（2）グローバル化に伴う国内経済地図の変化については，長期的な視座に立ってブラジル社会や経済地図の変化を捉えることを目的とした論考2本を一般向図書に寄稿し出版した。また，ロジアによるウクライナ侵攻によって国際的な食料・エネルギー需給の状況が変化する中で，ブラジルにおける農業生産への影響を考察するための文献調査を行った。くわえて，ラテンアメリカ地域の中でのブラジルの対外関係についてネットーワークの視点で議論するLeonardo Correia教授との共同研究を学会にて報告した。（3)社会課題解決に資するプロジェクトに着目した研究については，保険医療分野の社会課題に関して，共同研究者であるブラジリア大学のRodrigo Pires de Campos教授との共同研究を進め，グローバルヘルスや国際協力論の文脈において日本の政府開発援助がどのような役割を果たしてきたのかに関する論文"Japan’s ODA to Developing Countries in the Health Sector: Overall Trend and Future Prospects "を海外出版社（Springer Nature Singapore）から出版し，出版記念の国際セミナー「JICA Chair Special Lecture "BRAZIL-JAPAN COOPERATION: FROM COMPLEMENTARITY TO SHARED VALUE" BOOK LAUNCH SEMINAR」において口頭発表を行った。
