22年は、遅れている調査を進め、調査予定地点のデータを収集して、『瀬戸内海言語図巻』追跡調査による言語地図作成に取り掛かる予定であった。しかし、2020年3月以降、新型コロナ感染拡大によりフィールド調査ができない状況は、22年度も続いており、調査はごくわずかしか出来なかった。特に、本研究の調査対象地域は、医療施設が十分でない瀬戸内海島嶼部であり、話者は重症化リスクの高い高齢者で、調査時間は2時間以上かかるという条件のため、対面調査は考えられなかった。そこで、22年度は、すでに調査が出来ている110地点ほどのデータをデータベース化する作業に注力した。対面で計画していた地図作成講習会が開催できず、地図作成作業に取り掛かることは出来なかった。それと、音声言語地図作成のための音声データのデータベース化も本格的に取り掛かり、音声言語地図の試作も始めた。研究発表会は、2022年9月と2023年3月の2回実施、それぞれ研究発表1件、ゲストの講演1件で実施することができた、本研究は、予定地点の調査が終わり、言語地図を作成しないと、目的である瀬戸内海地域の言語変容を考察するのは難しい。そのため本年度も論文等を書くことが出来ず、成果発表は、研究発表会での口頭発表にとどまった。コロナをめぐる状況が変わり、23年度は、以前ほどは無理だとしても、調査ができる可能性は高いので、特に、兵庫県淡路島、香川県小豆島、愛媛県大三島、山口県周防大島の4島で集中的に調査するよう準備している。また、調査データのデータベース化をすすめ、言語地図、音声言語地図の作成に取り掛かる予定である。研究発表会は2023年9月と2024年3月の2回実施する。
