本年度は、2023年2月から3月にかけて日本で2回およびカナダで1回オンラインサーベイおよびオンライン無作為化実験を実施し、主として以下の研究課題に取り組んだ。・人工知能利用に対する有権者の信頼：人工知能を社会において活用することは今後避けられないと考えられるが、人工知能が適用される分野、制御可能性、社会への危険性の認識が、どのように人工知能を利用する主体への信頼に結びつくのか検討した。具体的に、人工知能を金融に応用するのか、医療に応用するのか、制御可能性が高いかどうか、社会にとって無害か有害かという情報により、有権者が政府、企業、国際機関、市民が人工知能の発展をコントロールできると信じる度合いがどのように異なるのか検証した。・AIを用いた自動化に対する政府の対応に関する有権者の期待：労働を自動化することによる雇用の喪失というデメリットへの政府の対応についての有権者の選好が何によって条件づけられるのか検討した。具体的に、自動化により日本企業が存続し雇用が継続すること、企業の収益が上がること、外国人労働者を増やさなくて良いことというメリットに関する情報を与えられた場合に、政府による法人税率引き上げ、失業給付の増額、外国人労働者の制限、ベーシックインカムの導入、自動化に対する法的規制への支持にどのような違いが出るのか検証した。・軍事テクノロジーに対する有権者の支持：人工知能などの情報技術を用いた軍事テクノロジーの開発プロジェクトがどのような場合に有権者に支持されるのかコンジョイント実験を用いて検討した。具体的に、テクノロジーの使用用途（平和維持活動～攻撃目的）、テクノロジーの自律性（人間による制御なし～人間の意思決定の支援）、市民への潜在的危険の程度、同盟国との協力の度合い、警察との協力の度合いのうちどの要因が有権者の選好に影響を与えるのか検討を行った。
