项目摘要

過去数十年間に多くの画期的な技術が先進諸国で開発されてきたが、そのような技術革新は各企業の生産技術と生産活動にどのような効果をもたらしてきただろうか。そしてその結果として、各国各産業の労働市場の趨勢にどのような影響を及ぼしてきただろうか。本研究の目的は、先進諸国にある企業の財務諸表と知的財産に関する情報から企業別パネルデータを構築し、個々の企業の生産性や雇用などに技術革新が与える効果を推定し、各国各産業の労働市場に技術革新が及ぼす影響とその機序を検証することである。本研究では、まず世界各国の企業データベースから先進諸国にある企業の生産技術と生産活動と技術革新に関するパネルデータを構築した。これにより、国別産業別企業別に技術革新の分析を行うことが可能になった。次に、この企業別パネルデータを用いて、国別産業別に企業の生産性や雇用などに技術革新がもたらす効果を推定した。このとき、技術革新に応じて雇用がどのように変化するか理論的には一概に言うことはできない。それゆえ、その効果の機序を調べることができるように、ここでは幾つかの異なる方法で計測した複数の生産技術と技術革新の指標を用いた。その上で、上記の分析で得られた推定値に関して国家間産業間の共通点と相違点を考察した。最後に、各国各産業の労働市場に技術革新が及ぼす影響を測定するために、多部門経済において企業による技術革新がどのような集計効果を持つか検討した。
