项目摘要

本研究の目的は、マーケット・メカニズムを補完する機能を果たす地域の制度・慣行が、新規参入を通じた競争や育成を促進し、地域産業の再活性化と地域社会の持続可能性に資するメカニズムを明らかにすることである。具体的には、地場産業・商業地における新規創業・参入、後継者による新規事業の参入が起きる中で、【1】新規参入を通じた競争を促す制度・慣行が、地域産業の再活性化に与える影響とプロセス、【2】同業者間でのアイディア公開を促す制度・慣行が、地域産業の再活性化に与える影響とプロセス、【3】新規参入者でもある移住者が地域社会に根付いていく社会的・心理的要因とプロセス、について解明することを目指したものである。今年度は特に、地域の慣行として各地で行われる「祭り」に焦点を当て調査を行った。今年度は、第一に既存研究のレビューを行った。特に祭礼を社会関係資本と文化資本の観点から分析した研究や、祭りを取り囲む慣習を扱った事例を複数レビューした。その中で、「よそ者」「新参者」「利便性」といったキーワードを見出すに至った。第二に、複数の祭りに関する調査を行った。地域の伝統行事である祭礼が持続可能なものになるための条件を探るため、長浜曳山文化協会にご協力いただき、長浜曳山まつりの運営者に対するインタビューを経て、各山組のメンバーに対するアンケート調査を実施し126名からの回答を得た。並行して、全国のまつり運営に関与した者を対象とする縦断調査の初回を実施し600名から回答を得た。またそれ以外にも、郡上おどり、姫路お城まつり、川口JAZZフェス、茅ヶ崎・湘南地域の浜降祭について、アンケート調査やインタビュー調査を行った。
