项目摘要

世界の農（生産）と食（消費）の現場では、環境が劣化し、小農が弱い立場に置かれ、食の安全性が脅かされる問題が起きている。それに対してアジア諸国では、新しい農と食のかたちを求める動きもみられる。本研究は、環境と健康への関心のもとで小農や消費者らの主体的意思決定によって新たに形成されつつあるフードシステムに焦点を当て、その構造と背景を解明し、公正性と持続可能性を検証することを目的とする。研究代表者らは2022年9月にラオス国立大学林学部を訪問し、今後の共同研究について協議したほか、首都ヴィエンチャン・ナーサイトン郡とヴィエンチャン県トゥラコム郡の村落と市場において、食用植物のフードシステムに関する現地調査を行った。また2023年3月にベトナム南部メコンデルタの中核大学であるカントー大学から、学長・副学長ら5人を招へいし、京都大学との間で大学間学術交流協定を締結するとともに、今後の共同研究と学術交流について協議した。国内では、京都府宇治田原町と和束町の茶園で毎月1回、農業様式と動植物相の調査を継続した。研究分担者らは、タイのミアンとコーヒーのアグロフォレストリー、タイの食用植物利用、ラオスの在来ブタ飼育、日本の山菜利用、島野菜栽培、昆虫食の普及に関する現地調査と文献調査を行った。またメンバー全員で農と食に関する研究会を4回開催した（「東南アジアの自然と農業研究会」と共催）。研究会では、九州山地の焼畑の農業生態、日本とアメリカの地域支援型農業、ラオスの水田農村の土地所有形態、ベトナムの農村社会の変容について、毎回多様なバックグラウンドをもつ20-30人の参加者と討論を行った。

The research association for agriculture and food for all staff was opened four times ("Southeast Agricultural Research Association") The seminar was held with 20-30 participants and discussions on the agricultural ecology of the burning fields in the mountains of Kyushu, the regional support agriculture in Japan, the land ownership patterns of the rice fields and rural areas, and the changes in rural society in the countryside.
