理論的分析に関しては次のような研究を行った。第1に、純正品と非純正品の両方が供給される市場における広告規制、および参入規制の効果について、理論的に最適な規制の水準を求めた。認証製品と非認証製品が供給される市場の規制へ応用可能なものであり本研究課題に重要な示唆を与えるものである。第2に、グリーンイノベーションを促進するための公的な政策の効果や、開発者、利用者、政策決定者の利害対立構造を整理した。また、特にOECDや各国の競争政策上問題となっている「グリーンウォッシング」と呼ばれる過剰なグリーン技術の対外的アピールについて分析を行った。実証分析に関しては次のような研究を行った。第1に、パーム油農園地理データと認証取得農園データを紐づけて、農園が立地する地域の所得水準や輸出港までの距離、農園所有企業の上場が認証取得に与える影響を検討した。さらに認証農園の森林被覆状況と農園企業所有者の属性の影響もより詳細に分析するためのデータ収集を実施した。第2に、国レベルのパネルデータとして利他心を表現し、輸入国側の利他心が貿易を促進させているかどうか、グラビティモデルを用いて検証を行った。特に、コーヒーの貿易額への影響は統計的に非有意であり、その結果の頑健性の確認および方法の改善を進めた。調査に関しては、ベトナム中部高原地帯（ダグラク省バンメトート市）において、コーヒー農家を訪問し、認証取得を含む生産方法、作付作物、販売方法の選択について聞き取り調査を行った。今後の本調査に向けて必要な情報を収集することができた。
