ネパール中等教育において2014年より技術教育課程が導入された。本研究では、技術教育課程のなかで農業教育課程に焦点を当て、その実践的教育モデルの構築を目的とする。これまでの調査では、2016年から2018年においてJICA草の根技術協力事業を実施し、教育制度を把握するとともに、ムスタング郡の山間地域における対象校（中等教育）の農業課程における教育体制・指導方法の課題抽出・改善のためのアクションプランを作成し、2018年に半年間試行した。2019年度に実施した調査では、試行された授業内容や指導方法と教員・生徒の意識の変化、それらの授業方法の継続状況について把握した。2018年に試行された授業改善方法は2019年も実施されており、①現地の農業生産や農業技術について生徒が調査を行い体系的な講義の学びと連携させ、②校内圃場での栽培実習に生育・収量調査や比較試験などの研究要素を導入し、③講義に①②などの内容を理解しやすいよう見える化して取り込み、④校内圃場での農業生産・加工活動に日常的に導入することであった。それら結果の一部を国際農村開発学会誌にて論文として報告した（2020年12月）。2020年度から2021年度にかけて、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大により現地調査ができず、ネパールではロックダウンにより対象高校も休校が続いた。現地での調査ができない中、日本国内で現地の農業情報を把握する調査手法としてオンラインGISを活用しすることで、各地域の農業情報の調査実施および即時的な共有が可能であることがわかり、導入を検討してきた。2022年度は中等教育での授業が対面で実施されるようになり、現地への渡航も可能となったため、対象高校2校において教育の現状や課題抽出、改善へ向けたアクションプランの作成を行った。またオンラインGISの授業導入の可能性の検証のため、使用方法の紹介を行った。

Secondary education was introduced in 2014. Local survey, local agricultural information in Japan, local survey methods, GIS utilization, regional agricultural information survey implementation and real-time sharing are possible. In 2022, the teaching of secondary education was carried out in accordance with the current situation of secondary education, the possibility of transition, and the preparation of improvement projects for secondary education. The possibility of introducing GIS into the classroom and the introduction of its usage are discussed.
