パーキンソン病(PD)の徴候として有名である仮面様顔貌は，これまで“facial bradykinesia”という側面から単純な運動障害と位置付けられ，近年注目されて いるPDの認知機能障害と仮面様顔貌との関連については検討されていなかった.そこで我々は最新のmotion capture技術を応用した表情解析技術によりPD患者の 表情変化を定量化し，各種認知・情動機能検査の結果と比較することで，仮面様顔貌が純粋な運動機能障害ではなく，認知・情動障害を反映し，さらに将来の認 知機能低下および認知症発症を予測する新たな疾患バイオマーカーのひとつであることを検証するための前向きコホート研究を行っている.昨年度に続き本年度は，患者および健常者を対象としたベースラインのデータ収集を行い，voxel-based morphometryや，拡散テンソル画像(DTI)・安静時fMRIを 用いた神経ネットワーク解析の前処理を開始した. 前年度は，COVID感染流行に伴う外来診療制限などもあり，被検者のリクルートが難航していたが，今年度は健常者の臨床データおよび画像データの取得を再開することができた．引き続き感染症対策に留意しつつ，ベースラインデータ，および患者群のフォローアップデータの取得を行う予定である.
