新規の患者登録は終了し、耐性菌の検出された患者の「持ち込み」の割合、患者の背景分析および入院前にいた保健/福祉施設のリストアップなど、これまで蓄積した院内での患者情報を取りまとめる段階まで到達した。患者から検出したESBLなど耐性菌の電気泳動を用いた解析で、それぞれの耐性菌の関連性に関する基礎解析も終わっており、疫学的な関連性の解析が今後の主な研究活動となる。周辺施設の感染管理に関する現状調査に関して、新型コロナウイルス感染症流行の関係で、他施設の訪問が制限されている状況が継続し、実地訪問した上での他施設の感染管理状況の把握が難航しているが、オンラインでの会合も織り交ぜて徐々に進めている。一方、新型コロナウイルス感染症や改定された感染対策向上加算の影響で、今まで以上に地域の施設との連携構築への機運が高まっており、お互いの取り組みを評価し改善し合う姿勢が生まれてきた。R5年度も、上記の細菌学的レベルから地域の疫学的リンクを推察する調査との統合を図っていく。
