今年度は前年度の研究成果を基に、大学を拠点とした地域基盤の看看連携による緩和ケアネットワークモデル案（以下、ネットワークモデル案）の構築に向けて、以下の取り組みを行った。１．今年度も新型コロナウイルス感染症（以下、感染症）の影響を考慮した感染対策やWEB等を用いた方法が必要だった。スーパーバイザーの研究者らとの相談時や、研究参加者との面談（フォローアップインタビュー、イベント参加など）時は、これまでの感染対策を踏まえて対応した。今年度も前述した人達とのWEBを含めたICT環境を把握し、それに対応できる研究者のICT環境を、研究者の所属機関（大学）と相談して一部整えた。２．今年度も感染症対策の下で研究参加者の所属の訪問看護ステーション（以下、訪問看護ST）主催の地域住民や利用者・家族が参加するイベントに担当者として参加した。そのイベントの実態を把握して整理し、研究対象のX地区の地域特性や訪問看護師に関わる課題を検討した。３．ネットワークモデル案の検討の為に大学が所属する地区を中心に、緩和ケアに関連する地域資源の実態の整理を開始した。特に対象地域の地域がん診療連携拠点病院における、がん関連の認定看護師らによる地域包括ケアシステムに資する活動状況を把握した。その一つの乳がん患者会について、ネットワークモデル案との可能性を探求する為に、その前提として、認定看護師らが支援する乳がん患者会に関する文献検討を行った。研究結果の一つとして「意思決定支援過程における同病者の支援」を得た。これは訪問看護STの看護師らを対象とした面接調査結果で、研究参加者全員に共通に抽出した「在宅での終末期の意思決定支援」に繋がるのを確認した。４．研究課題の関連学会に参加し、特に地域包括ケアシステムや地域と医療者・医療機関との連携、在宅や訪問看護師に関する発表などに参加し、ネットワークモデル案の検討に生かした。
