近年、わが国において、乳がんの罹患率は増加傾向にあり、特に若年層での罹患が増加している。手術による乳房の変形のみならず、長期にわたるホルモン療法は更年期様の症状といった身体的症状を引き起こす可能性があり、それに関連して女性性やセクシュアリティといった心理社会面への影響も大きいといえる。乳がんは10年生存率が約8割と高く、患者は治療後も、がん罹患前と変わらない日常生活を送ることができる。本研究では、ホルモン療法を受け、現在、婚姻状態にない若年の乳がん患者が、パートナーとの関係を構築することで生じる困難さを含む変化とその対処の過程を明らかにし、その過程を説明するための理論構築を目的としている。2022年度は、インタビューから得られたデータをM-GTAの手法を用いて分析し理論化を進めた。その結果、若年の乳がん患者がパートナーとの関係性を構築する過程は、乳がん罹患後【烙印を押される】ことにより、【途方に暮れる】状況にあった患者が、【他者から与えられた希望の獲得】により【”ありたい”私の実現に向けての開拓】や【パートナーとの関係性の深化】を実現し【パートナーとの関係性の発展】に進むことでということが示された。今回得られた理論に沿って看護支援を行うことで、患者がこれからの人生をよりよく生きることができると考えている。今回の調査より得られた結果をもとに考察を深め、論文作成、発表を行う予定である。
