本研究はカオス同期の特性を利用し、送信者Aliceの平文の状態を表現した振動子のパラメータを受信者Bobの振動子を使って安全に転写するものである。現在主流の暗号プロトコルはRSAに代表されるような素因数分解の困難性を安全性の根拠とする。素因数分解の困難性は量子コンピュータで多項式時間で容易に解読できることがわかっている。そのため、多数のqビット版の量子コンピュータが実現するであろう未来では、素因数分解の困難性を安全性の根拠とする現代暗号は容易に解読されるであろう。しかしながら、本研究で提案している暗号プロトコルはBobの振動子の状態がわからない限り、平文を表すAliceの振動子の状態がわからないように設計している。Bobの振動子の状態をBobは秘匿できるので、安全にAliceからBobへ平文を送ることができる。最終年度に研究を完成させる予定であったが、健康上の理由により研究継続が困難となったため、最終的に研究は完成へ至らなかった。具体的には提案手法において必要となる振動子の同期、非同期の判定に機械学習を用いる予定であったが、研究継続が困難となったので、その関連部分が進んでいない。しかしながら、滋賀と大阪にある2つの計算機上でAliceとBobの2つの振動子を再現し、通信実験を行った結果は成功だった。問題は既存の暗号プロトコルと比べ、1度の通信で送れるデータ量がかなり少なく実用に耐えられない点であった。
