英文摘要
This research focused on designing human body extension and augmentation modules. It investigated the role of wearable devices and robotics in the design approach from an embodied perspective. During the first half of the proposed research period, we studied two types of wearable systems:- We build on our previous work in Telexistence and supernumerary limb (SRL) systems. This system helped at defining body modalities, and to design a framework for embodied-driven design approach.- Bio-mimicry wearable tail that uses artificial muscle based approach to actuate. The goal of this work was to investigate the role of animal-driven modalities to augment the human body balance passively. Also, we investigated its role as an ungrounded haptic interface to present forces and alter the balance.
