项目摘要

この研究の目的は、沖縄県の主要な観光地である首里城のある首里景観形成地域において持続可能な観光まちづくりを探求することであり、３本の研究の柱がある。一つ目の柱は、持続可能な観光まちづくり推進の基礎調査として行われる地域住民の観光に対する態度の研究を行うことである。２つ目の軸は、観光リンケージのフレームワークに照らし合わせて、観光開発の段階を把握することにある。最後に、観光とSDGsの関係を整理したうえで、地域を形作るDMO（Destination Management & Marketing Organization）の在り方を探ることにある。１つ目の「地域住民の観光に対する態度の研究」に関しては、令和４年度(2022)は、令和３年度の集めたアンケート調査の集計、データクリーニング、分析を行った。また、首里景観形成地域の観光の在り方に視座を与えると思われる地域（ボストンコモンズ）を視察し、歩ける観光（Pedestrian Culture)の創出の仕方や、観光情報やインタープリターの在り方、組織の成り立ちを観察することができ、２つ目の軸の観光リンケージの研究に役立った。世界のDMOと日本版DMOの強みや弱み、特徴についての文献調査を行い、今後、地域のDMOをどのように活性化させていけばよいかの視座を得ることができた。12月上旬に3回にわたって地域住民向けに行われた、首里まちづくり推進協議会主催の「地域資源を活かした首里杜地区の周遊を考えるワークショップ」に参加し、知見を得るとともに、行ってきた調査について、参加者グループに共有した。
