本課題は，カナダで話されている北アメリカ先住民諸語のうちのセイリッシュ語族に属するスライアモン語について，特にいまだに解明されていないアクセント体系について，調査・研究するものである。そして，現地調査で，あと数名しかいない話者から良質の録音を録りつつ，母語が英語の研究協力者とともに録音を聞き，共同してアクセントについて解明していくものである。しかし，本課題開始以降，2020年度，2021年度は新型コロナウイルスが猛威をふるい，調査地カナダへの渡航および調査がおこなえなかった。2022年度には若干状況がよくなったものの，渡航を予定していた夏期はやはりまだコロナの影響で渡航がむつかしく，現地調査はおこなえないままであった。zoomなどのビデオ通話を利用しての調査も検討したものの，時差が大きく，調査相手の話者が高齢者に限られることもありむつかしく，言語音声の調査に耐えうる通話品質を得ることもむつかしく断念せざるを得なかった。渡航できないこの期間を利用し，代表者・渡辺がこれまで収集してきたデータの整備および精査を続け，さらに，アクセント体系も含め，音声的に非常に複雑なことで知られるセイリッシュ語族のスライアモン語以外の言語について，先行研究も踏まえた研究を進めた。アクセントと関係が深い音節構造についてもあらためて考察し，非公式な場で研究者に対して報告をおこない議論した。これらの成果の一部は2022年度内に1件刊行され，さらに2023年度に少なくとも2件が刊行されることが決まっている。

This paper aims to investigate and study the language family of aboriginal peoples, especially to explain the system of aboriginal languages. In the field investigation, there are several good quality recordings recorded by Chinese speakers, and the native English research collaborators heard the recordings together. Since the beginning of this project, in 2020 and 2021, new types of high-tech enterprises have been investigated. In 2022, a number of conditions were identified, and the transition period was scheduled for the summer period. Zoom: Use: Survey: Survey: During the navigation period, the representative of the transition period is to collect data and conduct detailed investigation. In the future, the system of communication and sound will be very complex. It will be known that the language family and language other than language will be lost. The study of the transition period will be carried out first. The relationship between the two syllables is discussed in the paper. One of these achievements was published in 2022, and two in 2023.
