项目摘要

ニシン目ニシン科サッパ属Sardinellaの分類学的研究が推進された．2022年度においては，近年，日本近海において分布域の急速な拡大が確認されている本属魚類カタボシイワシSardinella auritaの千葉県近海における分布を確認・報告し，本種の分布の東限を更新した．本種に関しては本研究期間を通じて出現状況や得られた標本の観察を行った．東京大学総合研究博物館や国立科学博物館などの国内複数機関に所蔵される１９世紀末から２１世紀の長期にわたって採集された魚類標本コレクションを観察した結果，カタボシイワシが２０世紀以前には日本近海には全く分布しておらず，その出現は２１世紀以降に生じたものであることが明らかになった．また，幅広い地域において様々な年代に採集されたカタボシイワシの標本を精査する過程で，本種は，極めて短期間に形態が変化していることが示されつつあり，この形態変化に，水温や個体群密度，食性などが関連していることが示唆される．また，本研究期間を通じて，カタボシイワシを含めた日本のサッパ属魚類相が明らかなものとなり，国内に７種が分布すると同時に，日本におけるS. sindensisなどの記録は誤同定に基づくものであり，日本に分布しないことも確認された．また，本研究において沖縄島産標本に基づき日本における分布が初めて確認されたギンリンサッパSardinella albellaは，日本国内では絶滅した，或いは個体数が極めて少なくなっていることが示唆された．さらに，モーリシャス産の本属の１新種Sardinella venturaを記載した．また，本研究を通じ，サッパ属以外にも，カタクチイワシ科やウルメイワシ科などにおいて多数の隠蔽種を確認し，これらのうちの一部においては記載を行い，適用すべき学名を決定した．

In 2022, the taxonomic study of Sardinella was carried out. In recent years, the distribution of Sardinella aurita in Chiba offshore was confirmed rapidly. The eastern limit of the distribution of this species was updated. This study was conducted on the basis of the findings of the study. The Tokyo University Research Museum and the National Science Museum were established by various institutions in Japan from the end of the 19th century to the end of the 21st century. The fish were collected for a long time. The results showed that the fish were distributed in the offshore areas of Japan before the 20th century, and appeared in the 21st century. In the process of detailed investigation, the species has changed its morphology in short term, such as water temperature, individual population density and food habit. During the period of this study, the distribution of 7 species in China was studied. Sindensis is a record of the distribution of the virus in Japan. In this study, the distribution of Sardinella albella in Japan was initially confirmed. The number of individuals in Japan was extremely small. A new species of Sardinella ventura is described in this paper. In this study, the scientific name of most of the species was confirmed, and some of them were recorded.
