本年度もコロナ禍により海外調査を実施できなかったため、文献資料の読み込みを活動の主軸としたが、他方、オンラインによる会合が一般的になったことにより、本科研による研究会も公開オンライン形式で実施することができ、特に若手研究者・院生への発信力を増すことができた。具体的には、①オランダの中心的宗教現象学者の一人であり、IAHR（国際宗教学宗教史学会）の初代事務局長を務めた（1950～1970年）C・J・ブレーカーについて、同時代のオランダ宗教史（教会、宗教運動、青年運動）とIAHRでの発言・会議録・論文の双方からその思想と宗教学観について考察を深めた。②ブレーカーに先立ちオランダ宗教現象学を確立し、IAHR初代会長を務めたG・ファン・デル・レーウについて、その思想と同時代の蘭領東インドに対する民族学、宣教学の関係を分析した。③ドイツの宗教現象学者の一人であり、1960年IAHR世界大会を招致しIAHRとマールブルク大学の関係構築において役割を果たしたF・ハイラーについて、（後世に批判を受けることになった）その実践的関心の内実を、戦前の宗教運動、戦後のIAHRローマ大会・東京・京都大会での言動から明らかにした。④宗教現象学の先駆とされるルドルフ・オットーについては、その思想と近代学問の葛藤をドイツ・ワイマール期の社会情勢に照らしながら明らかにした単著を発表した。さらに、国際研究連携・国際発信としては、①IAHR現会長との共同研究により、スウェーデンの中心的宗教現象学者であり、IAHRの第三代会長を務めたG・ヴィーデングレンの思想と足跡に関する論集に寄稿した。②イギリスの宗教学者の呼びかけで新たに立ち上がった、宗教現象学を哲学的人間学の観点から研究するネットワークに加わり、本科研の成果について発表した。
