3年目にあたる2022年度は、アイザック・ニュートンの理論面についてのこれまでの調査のまとめとしてHistoria Scientiarum誌上でニュートン特集号を企画した。また、3月に多波長アッベ屈折計をイギリスに運搬し、大英博物館、王立医科協会、ウィップル科学史博物館、レン図書館に持ち込んで収蔵されている「ニュートンのプリズム」計5点の屈折率を本測定した。その後、屈折計をオランダに運搬し、ブールハーフェ博物館、タイラース博物館、ユトレヒト大学博物館に持ち込んで収蔵されている「スグラーフェサンデのプリズム」計11点の屈折率を本測定した。成果1件目は、2021年度の活動内容を踏まえて、2022年11月に発行された日本科学史学会の欧文誌Historia Scientiarum誌上でニュートン特集号を発行したことである。分担研究者・研究協力者による査読論文が2件、レビュー論文が2件発表された。成果2件目は、ニュートン理論についての研究発表会の第二弾である。2022年5月の日本科学史学会の年会において、シンポジウム「異なる視点からみたアイザック・ニュートン像を持ち寄る」を開催し、分担研究者・研究協力者による発表が4件実施された。成果3件目は、現代的な科学分析に基づく歴史研究についての研究発表会である。2022年5月の日本科学史学会の年会において、シンポジウム「科学的分析を通じて歴史研究をすることで文字資料を超えて何がわかるのか」を開催し、分担研究者・研究協力者による発表が4件実施された。

3 years ago, in 2022, we planned to publish a special collection of research papers on the theoretical plane of Historia Scientiarum. In March, the refractive index of 5 points was measured in the British Museum, Royal Medical Association, Museum of the History of Science and Library.
