项目摘要

2021年度分の研究実績としては、前年度から続くコロナ禍で研究者が集合することも困難なままで、研究計画の変更を余儀なくされた。編集会議は対面形式ではなく、オンライン形式で実施し、研究方針や資料集の編集方針を全員で共有するようにした。原文書の翻刻作業についても遅れが生じたものの、研究協力者を得て筆耕作業を進めた。その結果、田島道治関係資料のなかから、分量も多くメインとなる資料群である「拝謁記」のうち、全5巻予定の第1巻と第2巻について、翻刻作業の終了、入稿、校正を終え、研究者が執筆した解説を収録したものを年度内に無事に刊行することができた。なお、第1巻には資料所蔵者でもある遺族に「はしがき」を書いてもらい、巻頭に収録した。2021年度に刊行した分の書誌情報は、古川隆久ほか編『昭和天皇拝謁記』第1巻、第2巻（岩波書店刊）である。この刊行時期は当初の刊行計画よりやや遅れているものの、何とか2巻分を上梓できたという点から、コロナ禍という状況下では十分な研究成果だととらえている。このほか、こちらも当初からの研究計画にあった田島道治関係資料のなかの「日記」（第6巻に収録予定）と「関係文書」（第7巻に収録予定）の筆耕作業も同時並行で進め、資料集に収録する箇所の選定作業も行った。また、共同研究者の河西秀哉が主催する象徴天皇制研究会のなかで、ここまで明らかとなった田島道治文書の内容を一部紹介する形式での研究発表も行った。

The selected operations of the "Journal"(Volume 6) and the "Relationship Document"(Volume 7) in the initial research plan are carried out in parallel with each other. The contents of the Tajima Prefectural Documents were introduced in the form of a research report by the Tajima Prefectural Government Research Association.
