古墳時代前期～中期の王権中枢の木材利用体系の成り立ちと展開を明らかにするため、令和4年度は主に下記の調査を実施した。●古墳時代前期～中期の奈良盆地及び周辺の集落遺跡・古墳出土木製品と形状・木取り等の要素で比較検討する資料の調査。⇒刳物腰掛を対象として、まず古墳時代前期初頭～前半の桜井市纒向遺跡例の再実測（写真実測）を行った。次に弥生時代後期末～古墳時代前期初頭の鳥取県鳥取市青谷上寺地遺跡例と古墳時代前期の山形県山形市藤治屋敷遺跡例に対しそれぞれ熟覧調査を行った。また纒向遺跡にみられる容器脚の成り立ちを考えるため、再実測（写真実測）を行った上で、関連資料として青谷上寺地遺跡例の熟覧調査を行った。さらに木製樹物・威儀具の基準資料である古墳時代中期後半～末の橿原市四条1号墳出土品の写真実測を実施し、既往実測図の補足とともに年輪曲線を図化した。また当該年度に発掘調査され石見型木製品が出土した古墳時代中期末～後期初頭の大阪府羽曳野市峯ヶ塚古墳について、現地でその観察を行った。百舌鳥・古市古墳群では初めてかつ最大の石見型木製品の出土例であり、この段階でもコウヤマキの大径木利用があることが確認された。●古墳時代の奈良盆地の集落遺跡・古墳出土木製品の樹種同定及び関連する製材・加工時残材の調査と樹種同定⇒古墳時代中期中頃の奈良市大柳生森本古墳出土木製品の樹種同定、四条1号墳出土木製樹物・威儀具の樹種同定をそれぞれ実施した。また、古墳時代以降の王権中枢の木材生産の継続性・変化を探るため、奈良時代の山添村毛原廃寺出土木製品・残材の樹種同定、奈良市平城京朱雀大路出土木製品・残材の形状・木取り・加工痕などの調査及び樹種同定を実施した。●出土木製品集成⇒当該研究における分析対象資料の検討と木製品研究の基礎データとするために奈良県下の遺跡出土木製品集成データベースを追加更新し、補正を行った。

Wood products and residual wood excavated from Mobara Temple in Yamazoe Village from the Nara Period The same tree species, the investigation of the wood products, the shape of the residual wood, the wood removal, and the processing marks of the wood products unearthed in Heijo Kyo Suzaku-dori Street, Nara City, and the tree species excavated on the same tree. ●Integration of unearthed wood products ⇒ When analyzing the target data for this research and analyzing the basics of wood products research The wooden products unearthed from the Nara Prefecture's ruins have been added and updated and corrected.
