生活保護受給者の医療受療の実態を調べるため、レセプト情報・特定健診等情報データベース（NDB）の活用のための準備を行った。NDBは、医療費適正化計画の作成、実施及び評価のための調査や分析などに用いるデータベースとして、厚生労働省が、レセプト情報及び特定健診・特定保健指導情報を格納・構築しているものである。公費単独のレセプトは、提供対象外であるが、高齢者の医療の確保に関する法律改正もあり、提供される可能性がある。そのため、2021年度は研究計画を立案した。また、公費単独のレセプトの提供が開始されたため、2022年度に、NDB特別抽出について、厚生労働省への申請・承諾、京都大学医の倫理委員会への申請・承認を得た。疾患の発生状況や、その予防・治療・介護の実態を明らかにし、健康寿命の延伸に活かすことのできるエビデンスの収集を図ることを目的に、京都市が進めている医療レセプト、健診結果、介護レセプト等の統合データを分析する事業の一環として、統合データ分析のための環境を整備した。糖尿病や肺がんについて解析をすすめている。COVID-19の影響を検討するため、受療行動、社会・経済格差、ヘルスリテラシー等に関するインターネット質問紙調査を計画した。東京都健康長寿医療センターおよび京都大学医の倫理委員会の承認を得た。インターネット調査会社にモニター登録している日本人男女（20歳～79歳）を対象に、2021年10月に、性別・年齢・世帯収入で層化サンプリングを実施しインターネット質問紙調査を行った。質問項目は、基本属性、健康習慣、COVID-19罹患歴・ワクチン接種歴、eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS) 日本語版等である。解析を実施中である。
