2020年度、大学の管理運営と大学教員の社会サービスを対象に研究を進めてきた。大学の管理運営について以下の２点が明らかになった。①1992年、2007年、2017年の日本の大学において、適切なリーダーシップが発揮されているかどうか大学教員に質問したところ、①適切なリーダーシップが発揮されている、との比率が年を経るにつれて低くなっていた。②その背景を知るために、2017年のデータにおいて、「大学において適切なリーダーシップが発揮されている」と有意な相関関係を持つ変数を確認したところ、「管理者と教員との間に望ましいコミュニケーションが行われている」「大学では同僚制に基づく意思決定が行われている」「大学では機関の使命が強調されている」等であった。③回答者の、性、年齢、専門分野、雇用形態、職位、所属大学の種類、などは大学において適切なリーダーシップが発揮されている、と回答傾向と有意な関係が確認されなかった。大学教員の社会サービス活動時間数について以下ことが明らかになった。①大学教員の社会サービス活動時間の規定要因を実証的に確認したところ、性、年代、最高学位、雇用状況、「医学・健康科学系」「教育活動時間数」「研究活動時間数」「管理運営活動時間数」、管理運営様式、が社会サービス活動時間数を有意に規定している。②男性は女性よりも、50歳代以上のシニアの大学教員が、「社会科学系」「農学系」「医学・健康科学系」の教員が、大学の運営が「リーダーシップが発揮されている」「機関の使命を非常に重視しているほど」「同僚制で意思決定をしている」と回答した大学教員ほど、社会サービス活動時間数は長くなっていた。逆に、③「教育活動時間数」「研究活動時間数」「管理運営活動時間数」が長いほど、「トップダウン型の管理運営を行っている」と回答している大学教員頬、社会サービス活動時間数は短くなっていた。

In 2020, the management of the university and the social services of the university teachers were carried out. The following two points are included in the management and operation of the university.
