项目摘要

日本教育工学会2023年春季全国大会において， Metacognitive Awareness Inventory(MAI; Schraw & Dennison, 1994)を共通課題として研究報告と討論を行う国際ワークショップを企画・開催した。討論のポイントとして，MAIの翻訳に係る課題，MAIの妥当性・信頼性・短縮版の構成，メタ認知育成の今後の方向性の三つを取り上げた。MAI原著者の一人R. A. スパーリング氏からは，12カ国における翻訳版の活用，およびStSRLフレームワーク（Metacognition，Strategy Use，Motivation，Content，Management）の活用事例について報告があった。陳姿菁氏からは，MAI改訳版58項目を中国語に翻訳した際の問題点と台湾における日本語教育でのMAIの活用事例について報告があった。メタ認知を高める授業課題への改善方策の検討として，情報系教養教育科目において，学生が学習成果の改善に繰り返し取り組むように授業設計を見直した。具体的には，スライド資料にナレーションを組み込ませた上で，クラウド型コミュニケーションツール上でクラス内共有した。3回の発表機会においてスライド資料の改善を目的とした学生間相互評価に取り組ませた。学生が記述した授業全般の振り返りには，他者の発表に刺激されて創意工夫を試みたり，自身への評価結果や助言のフィードバックを受けて加筆・修正したり，とスライド資料への音声組み込みがもたらす利点に加えて，クラス内共有や学生間相互評価の取り組みが改善行動を促していたことがわかった。さらに，これらの改善行動をメタ認知の観点から分析したところ，多くの学生は事前・遂行・事後段階にさまざまなメタ認知を働かせていることがわかった。
