项目摘要

前年度に引き続き、ニヤーヤ学派の議論学関連文献の読解を進めた。特に、ジャヤンタが「浄化」（suddhi, parisuddhi）という語を用いて論議という議論形態を特徴づけている点を明らかにした。また、第1回TARKAワークショップを主催し、写本研究の観点から、片岡啓教授（九州大学）による招聘講演や自作の校訂テキストを用いた講読会を実施した。ミーマーンサー学派の疑似的理由論に着目し、バッタ派とプラバーカラ派との間の疑似的理由論の相違・影響関係を整理し、『ニヤーヤマンジャリー』に言及される疑似的理由論がバッタ派の枠組みの中で理解可能である点を指摘した。前年度に引き続き、ヴェーダーンタ学派の論理学・議論学説の検討を行い、後代、帰謬論証的に解釈されるtarkaの語について、シャンカラとヴァーチャスパティミシュラの理解の相違を示した。比較思想的な観点から、西洋古典哲学、現代の議論学、コミュニケーション、レトリックなどの研究領域における、インド古典議論学との比較研究の先行例や手法について検討した。また、第1回「知識と論理の比較哲学」ワークショップを企画し、人文社会科学系の若手研究者との間で共通のテーマ（コミュニケーション）を軸に研究発表、課題図書の検討、意見交換を行い、今後の学際的研究の糸口を掴んだ。受入研究機関等におけるインド論理学・議論学に関する文献読解の継続実施、北海道大学における招待講演を含む研究滞在、片岡啓教授のもと九州大学におけるジャイナ教哲学綱要書講読会などを通して、本研究課題遂行に有益な意見を得る機会に恵まれた。なお、最終年度に相当する本年度の研究成果の発表にあたっては、フィードバックを得る速度を重視し、口頭発表やワークショップの企画などに重点を置いたことで、本研究課題の成果をインド中世後期の議論学に関する研究に展開させる足がかりを得た。
