项目摘要

本年度は本研究の中心課題であるバッタジャヤンタ著『論理の花房』「討論章」（第11章後半及び第12章）の邦訳を当初の予定通り完了させた．テキスト校訂についても主要な写本の記録作業は凡そ完了したが，体裁上の統一と異読の再検討を要する．これらの研究成果は十分に吟味した上で今後公開する予定である．以上の基礎的研究に基づき，本年度は以下の点に着目し思想研究を行った．１）ニヤーヤ学派内における「曲解」（chala）を巡る概念史について，下位区分の内容重複に関する議論に焦点を当てて考察した．その際，ウダヤナが先行する諸解釈を批判的に検討している箇所を取り上げ，彼による新たな曲解定義及び論理学の体系に沿った革新的な細分類化を明らかにした．また，「敗北の根拠」との関連性についても検討し，ウダヤナ解釈の新規性を確認した．２）前年度の研究成果をもとに「詭弁的論駁」（jAti）論におけるジャヤンタの再定義・対象・論証例・下位区分に関する議論に着目し考察した．とりわけ下位区分についてはウッディヨータカラ解釈との分類上の類似とその根拠の乖離について指摘した．３）「敗北の根拠」（nigrahasthAna）においてジャヤンタがヴァーツヤーヤナに倣って「無実行／無理解」（apratipatti）に分類する諸項目について，ダルマキールティによる内容上の重複に対する批判とその応答という点で整理した．とりわけ，ジャヤンタ，ヴァーチャスパティミシュラ，ウダヤナによる応答内容を比較考察し，ウダヤナに至って初めて諸項目が独自領域を持つものとして区分されるに至ったことを明らかにした．以上の研究成果は国内外の学会・研究会における口頭発表及び学術雑誌への投稿という形で報告した．また，12月9-20日には，オーストリア科学アカデミーにおけるジャヤンタによる綱要書『論理の蕾』の講読研究会（SAPHALA III）に参加した．
